Massage at Arya Spa & Wellness

We would like to share with you some of the multiple benefits of massage. Massage increases the blood circulation and therefore improves cellular nutrition and increases the removal of toxins via the immune system. Muscular tension and soreness are relieved, and mental and physical fatigue is alleviated.

General Swedish Massage Your masseuse/masseur will use long soothing strokes, gentle kneading, and passive movements of the muscles to deliver the ultimate state of relaxation.

Benefits: Swedish massage improves circulation, relieves muscle tension, and increases mobility leaving you in a deeply relaxed, stress-free state. Many physicians are prescribing this relaxation massage to reduce stress-related illnesses and conditions.

Duration: 30 mins – $45.00, 45 mins – $65.00, 60 mins – $80.00, 90 mins – $120

Deep Tissue Massage Deep Tissue Massage is applied in a systematic way, concentrating on the deeper layers of the body’s soft tissues. It aims to release chronic patterns of tension in the body, through slow strokes and deep pressure on contracted area(s). Deep tissue massage is remedial, restorative, and corrective. The massage starts with light pressure to warm tissue up appropriately and gradually gets deeper.

Massage techniques include the use of knuckles, fists, elbows, and forearms. The pace of a deep tissue massage session is usually slower than that of other massage work, to enable the masseuse/masseur to pick up information from the client’s tissues, assess the best way to address the tension and contractions found, and apply careful and sensitive pressure in order to achieve a comfortable and lasting release.

Benefits: This type of massage is highly beneficial for people who suffer from consistent muscle pain. This can be caused by work related postural problems, leisure activities such as gardening, sports, exercise related injuries, and can also be the end-result of long-term emotional stress and tension.

Duration: 30 mins – $45.00, 45 mins – $65.00, 60 mins – $80.00, 90 mins – $120

Back Massage

Concentrate on the back, neck and shoulders to assist in the release of deep knots of tension, using Deep tissue massage and Swedish techniques.

Benefits: This will be done in the scope of a General Swedish Massage or Deep Tissue Massage and provides the same benefits. Although your back will be treated directly, often lower-backaches are caused by compensatory structures such as your glutes and legs which can be targeted in a 45 minute- 60 minute time frame. Therefore, this massage is centred for clients who have hectic schedules that are looking for some relaxation and relief between other engagements.

Duration: 30 mins – $45.00

Add-on’s:

Aromatherapy Massage

Aromatherapy is an ancient regime of care for the mind and body that combines physical beautification with healing powers of plants and herbs to trigger mental and emotional responses. Essential oils, the active ingredients in aromatherapy, contain naturally occurring plant hormones, vitamins, and antibiotics.

Benefits: Relieves emotional and physical stress, enhances energy levels, promotes relaxation, and elevates mood.

Warm Stone Massage

A Warm Stone Massage, or Hot Stone Massage, involves applying water-heated basalt stones of various sizes to key points on the body. The stones provide great pressure and create sensations of comfort and warmth.

Benefits: The hot stones expand the blood vessels, pushing blood and filtering unwanted waste materials through the body. This has a calming effect on the nervous system.

  • Add $10.00 for Aromatherapy and $15.00 for Hot Stone Massage to an existing treatment.
  • If you would like to request an RMT to perform your massage the rates are: 30 mins- $55.00, 45 mins- $75.00, 60 mins – $90.00, 90 mins – $135
