Please read the insurance receipt and cancellation policies at the bottom of this page and full RMT Policy under our Policy and Procedure Section.

What is a Registered Massage Therapist?

In the province of Ontario, massage therapy is a regulated health profession performed by a registered massage therapist (RMT or MT). These individuals have successfully completed programs at recognized institutions and passed certification examinations to become registered members of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO). In addition, RMTs maintain their registration statuses by participating in continuing education.

Why Massage Therapy?

We would like to share with you some of the multiple benefits of massage. Massage therapy is about so much more than relaxation. Benefits include:

  • Reduced/eliminated pain
  • Improved joint mobility
  • Improved circulation
  • Improved immune system function
  • Reduced anxiety/depression
  • Reduced muscle tension
  • Increased body awareness

General Swedish Massage Your therapist will use a number of soothing Swedish techniques to deliver the ultimate state of relaxation.

Benefits: Swedish massage improves circulation, relieves muscle tension, and increases mobility leaving you in a deeply relaxed, stress-free state. Many physicians are prescribing this relaxation massage to reduce stress-related illnesses and conditions.

Duration: 30 mins- $65, 45 mins- $85, 60 mins – $100, 90 mins – $140

Deep Tissue Massage This massage is applied in a systematic way, concentrating on the deeper layers of the body’s soft tissues. It aims to release chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep pressure on contracted area(s). Deep tissue massage is remedial and restorative. The massage flows from light to deep pressure so that tissue is warmed up appropriately. Passive stretches may be incorporated throughout the massage to facilitate muscular relief and to increase range of motion.

Benefits: This type of massage is highly beneficial for people who suffer from chronic muscle pain. Muscular pain can be caused by adapting faulty posture during work and activities of leisure. It can also be a consequence of long-term emotional stress and tension.

Duration: 30 mins- $65, 45 mins- $85, 60 mins – $100, 90 mins – $140

Lymphatic Massage

The lymphatic system is part of the vascular and immune system. It collects fluid that has leaked out of blood vessels, containing both white blood cells and waste products. Lymph collects in tissues when people have leaky blood vessels or are immobile and sedentary, which results in swelling.

Benefits: This massage helps manually drain lymph back into your circulatory system through the use of very gentle strokes and compressing lymph nodes stationed in particular parts of the body. It provides a great detox and can promote a healthy immune system.

Duration: 30 mins- $65, 45 mins- $85, 60 mins – $100

Add-on’s:

Aromatherapy Massage

Aromatherapy is an ancient regime of care for the mind and body that combines physical beautification with healing powers of plants and herbs to trigger mental and emotional responses. Essential oils, the active ingredients in aromatherapy, contain naturally occurring plant hormones, vitamins, and antibiotics.

Benefits: Relieves emotional and physical stress, enhances energy levels, promotes relaxation, and elevates mood.

Warm Stone Massage

A Warm Stone Massage, or Hot Stone Massage, involves applying water-heated basalt stones of various sizes to the body. The stones work as a compress, and create sensations of comfort and warmth.

Benefits: The hot stones expand the blood vessels, pushing blood and filtering unwanted waste materials through the body. This has a calming effect on the nervous system.

  • Add $10.00 for Aromatherapy and $15.00 for Hot Stone Massage to an existing treatment.

*You may also book a couple massage session with your partner- a unique experience to ward off stress and relax together.
